We are proud to announce that our very own partner, Jesse Elison, has been appointed Chief Counsel of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) under the Trump Administration. In coordination with the start of the new administration, Jesse has relocated to DC to tackle this full-time role with FMCSA and build a better future for our industry. While it pains Taylor Nelson PL and our clients to lose such a talented and vocal advocate, we look forward to him carrying forward our Firm’s Core Values into his new role, and look with great anticipation on the positive impact and direction he will be able have on our industry as a whole. We know that you will be successful in all your future endeavors, and we are beyond excited for you to embark in this prestigious role and proud to have called you a Partner.
Jesse’s background in transactional matters, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance brings extensive experience in advising motor carriers and logistics companies. His expertise spans mergers and acquisitions, contract negotiation, and risk management within the transportation industry. Before his time at Taylor Nelson, Jesse served as Vice President of Legal and held in-house counsel roles with national motor carriers. His extensive experience in each of these fields and with Taylor Nelson PL should propel him in this position to make his time at the FMCSA successful.
