PRACTICE EXPERIENCE
Lesley Sachs is a transportation regulatory compliance attorney assisting clients in complying with state and federal regulations. She represents companies, senior executives, and employees in government enforcement matters and investigations. Lesley regularly helps clients to review, assess and implement corporate compliance programs.
Lesley’s practice began in Washington, D.C. at a major international law firm where she worked on a full range of regulatory compliance and litigation matters in a variety of industries, including health care, export control and sanctions, False Claims Act, and motor vehicle safety.
Part of Lesley’s practice has involved working with independent compliance monitors to oversee compliance obligations with consent orders or deferred prosecution agreements. She has acted as counsel to the monitor for FCA US LLC in a three-year appointment by the US Department of Transportation – National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Additionally, she has served as legal counsel to independent compliance monitors in the automotive engineering, education and manufacturing sectors. Lesley brings her unique insight into the perspectives of the regulating agencies and regulated entities to assist her clients in regulatory compliance matters.
Prior to attending law school, Lesley was a senior consultant with IBM Business Consulting Services advising federal government clients. While attending law school, Lesley clerked with the Federal Communications Commission.
